The Denver Nuggets released their schedule for the 2011-2012 season on Tuesday, which includes 66 games and opens on December 26. The Nuggets are playing the Dallas Mavericks, and here are some other notable occurrences during the season:
- From March 5 through March 21, the Nuggets will play a nine-game homestand against a variety of Eastern and Western conference teams. The big stretch is a four-game run against the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics and defending champion Mavericks in the middle of the month.
- They immediately follow up the homestand with a rough seven-game road trip that starts on March 23 against the Utah Jazz and ends on April 4 against the New Orleans Hornets. The big challenges during that stretch will be rough road games against Eastern Conference stalwarts, the Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic.
