Denver Nuggets Place Five On SB Nation's Preseason Northwest All-Division Team

While the major media outlets like to question the Denver Nuggets' composition after losing three players to China, the NBA team bloggers for SB Nation are feeling good enough about the team that five members of the team made the Northwest Preseason All-Division Team, though that's not without some qualification on the voting.

On the first team, Nene is the center and Ty Lawson is a guard, which is as expected. Things change a bit on the second team. There's a four-way tie for the second guard position and three Nuggets appear there: Andre Miller, Arron Afflalo and Rudy Fernandez.

That's all kinds of mess. Miller did start in the back court with Lawson for the first preseason game, but with Arron Afflalo signed and getting back into things, he is likely to be the starter at the position. Fernandez is trying to fit in with his third team since the end of June, but he's still stuck in a position where his playing time is limited.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are also well represented on the team with first-teamers Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, perhaps the best forward-guard combo in the league. Kendrick Perkins, looking slimmer this season, is the second-team center.
