NBA Free Agency 2011: Cross Earl Clark Off The Nuggets' Wish List, He Reportedly Rejoins The Orlando Magic

The Denver Nuggets had been meeting with free agent forward Earl Clark to possibly shore up their front court heading into the 2011-12 NBA season, but now they will have to look elsewhere as Clark is rejoining the Magic in a two-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The 23-year old Clark has underachieved since entering the league in 2009 as the No. 14 overall pick of the Phoenix Suns. He never really broke into the rotation with Phoenix, and averaged 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in limited playing time with the Orlando Magic last season after being traded to the Magic mid-season in a deal centered around Vince Carter.

It's not a huge loss for the Nuggets to miss out on Clark, but he was a young and likely affordable option with upside that would have fit the model in Denver for rebuilding a contender in the new Nene era.
