Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, ESPN's Marc Stein reported that the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks were discussing a trade involving Dallas guard Rudy Fernandez. Now Stein is reporting that forward Corey Brewer also could be sent to the Nuggets along with Fernandez:
ESPN sources: In most advanced scenario, Nuggets offer to take Rudy F and Brewer from Dallas into cap space for future draft considerations
Fernandez, who was traded to Dallas from Portland on draft day as part of a three-team deal, has spent the last three years playing with the Trail Blazers. Last season, he averaged 8.6 points per game while hitting 32.1% of his three-point attempts.
Brewer played in 13 games with the Mavericks last season, averaging 5.3 PPG.
