NBA Rumors 2011: Dallas Mavericks Think Of Trading Rudy Fernandez To Denver Nuggets, According To Report

Could the Denver Nuggets wind up with another player that was involved in the draft-day trade between them, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dallas Mavericks. It appears that the Mavericks and the Nuggets are in discussions to send Rudy Fernandez to the Mike High City for future draft picks, according to ESPN's Marc Stein (originally reported by TUBASKET.com).

The Trail Blazers sent Fernandez to the Mavericks as part of the three-team deal that brought Jordan Hamilton to Portland before he and Andre Miller were shipped off to Denver. The Nuggets continue this trade if all they give up are draft picks.

Fernandez, a 6-foot-6 guard, was drafted with the 27th overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, but just weeks later he was sent to the Trail Blazers for cash. He averaged 10.4 points as a rookie and has averaged over eight points per game in his last two seasons. He would be a bench player for the Nuggets if Arron Afflalo returns.
