NBA Lockout 2011 News: League, Union Set To Meet On Wednesday, According To Report

Just one day after the players rejected the league's latest proposal for a new collective bargaining agreement, the union and the owners are scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET meeting in Manhattan on Wednesday, reports CBS' Ken Berger and other sources.

It appears that NBA Commissioner David Stern might have the power to end the lockout without making any major changes, but he'll need all of the owners, even the ones that want to force the players into a bad deal, to be on board. It could happen on Wednesday, but we've seen these swings in attitude throughout the summer.

Will we soon learn that there will be basketball games inside the Pepsi Center during 2011 and 2012 or are we just being taken to another loop on a roller coaster? We'll find out Wednesday evening.
