2011 NBA Lockout Update: David Stern Cancels Games Through Nov. 30

The league and Players Association made some progress this week, but the revenue split remained a sticking point. After talks broke down over that issue on Friday, NBA Commissioner David Stern announced that there will be no games until at least December:

"It’s not practical, possible or prudent to have a full season now," Stern said.

Despite substantial progress made in several areas this week, negotiations broke down over a familiar, fundamental issue: the division of league revenues. Neither side was willing to make a move, with the owners holding fast to their 50-50 proposal and the players still insisting on 52.5 percent.

No additional talks have been scheduled, but the two sides will almost certainly meet again soon.

The team schedule on the Nuggets' official website has been updated to reflect these latest cancellations.
