If the NBA does start is season without canceling any more games, the opening tip off for the Denver Nuggets would be on Nov. 16 in the Pepsi Center. But that's a big if. Unless one side gives in, more and more games will be canceled.
↵But if a miracle happens and the season does start on Nov. 16, the Nuggets would host Carmelo Anthony. 'Melo thinks he'll get a mostly positive reaction:
↵↵↵"I don't think I did anything wrong to the Denver fans. I think I've been loyal to them for 7 1/2 years, so for me to go back—of course you're going to have some boos and people weeping and whining about it—but for the most part I can say I did a hell of a job out there in Denver," Anthony said.
↵
Sure, the way in which the entire situation was handled came about poorly, but 'Melo did breathe life back into Denver basketball after nearly a decade of incompetence. He probably would receive a smattering of boos, but Denver should be thanking him for all that he has done.
↵It probably just won't happen on Nov. 16.
