It appears that the rumored Carmelo Anthony trade that will send the NBA star to the New Jersey Nets as part of a three-team deal involving the Detroit Pistons is imminent, given the way Melo has played in tonight's game so far. He is shooting 1-of-7 from the field, has grabbed three rebounds and has made four personal fouls as of this writing. Yeah, he's not even trying because he knows the trade is going to happen and that he will sign that extension.

But players move on and new players come in. This certainly is not how we would want to see Melo's time end, but it's not time for the Nuggets or their fans to mope around. Understanding is the key to change, and if Masai Ujiri and Josh Kroenke know what they are doing change will be for the better.
