Denver Nuggets Final Score: Melo, Nene Register Double-Doubles In Defeating Houston Rockets 113-106

The Denver Nuggets extended their current win streak to four games by defeating the Houston Rockets 113-106 on Monday night at the Pepsi Center.

Carmelo Anthony finally looked back to form, after returning to the court last night following a five game absence due to personal reasons. On the night Melo scored 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in registering his eighth double-double of the season. Nene also joined in the double-double fun, securing his sixth of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The pair were joined by Arron Afflalo, Ty Lawson, Chauncey Billups and Kenyon Martin in scoring double figures.

The game was close throughout, and saw the two teams enter the halftime locker room tied at 52 a piece. After three quarters, the teams continued to battle it out, tied at 81.

The Nuggets, however, pulled away in the fourth quarter, led by Gary Forbes, who scored all seven of his points in the final frame.

Luis Scola scored 24 in leading the Rockets. Brad Miller paced Houston in rebounds with 11. Rockets leading scorer Kevin Martin was held to eight points on 3-15 shooting.

The Nuggets get a day off before returning to the court on Wednesday in Los Angeles to face Blake Griffin and the Clippers at 8:30 p.m. MT.
