The Denver Nuggets picked up their sixth road win of the season following their 120-109 victory over the Washington Wizards. Carmelo Anthony led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists. However, he was 8-of-20 from the field. Nene fell one rebound short of a double-double, finishing with 21 points and nine rebounds.
Al Harrington was on fire from beyond the arc, making 6-of-8 three-point shots. He totaled 21 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Ty Lawson added 17 points off the bench.
Wizards rookie John Wall scored 10 points and dished the ball out 13 times. Andray Blatche contributed 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block in the losing effort. Nick Young, who led the Wizards with 26 points, had a sweet 360 layup (video).
J.R. Smith did not play, which was George Karl's decision. Supposedly, Smith missed the day's shootaround.
The Nuggets (26-18, 6-13 away) head to Detroit for a Wednesday game against the Pistons. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m. MT.
