Denver Nuggets Final Score: Nuggets Explode In Second And Third Quarters To Defeat Phoenix Suns, 132-98

The Denver Nuggets came out looking sluggish against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, but the boo birds quickly died down as Denver used explosive second and third quarters to catapult to 132-98 win.

Down 12 after one quarter, the Nuggets outscored the Suns 82-40 in the second and third frames to put the game securely in their possession.

After a slow start, leading some Nugget fans to begin booing early in the game, Carmelo Anthony ended the game with 28 points and 10 boards for his ninth double-double on the season. Arron Afflalo pitched in a season and career high 31 points. Chauncey Billups didn't shoot extremely well, but contributed seven dimes, which helped the Nuggets set a season high in assists with 30. As a whole, the Nuggets shot 55.7 percent from the floor.

Steve Nash and Vince Carter contributed 15 points apiece in the loss for Phoenix (15-21).

With the win the Nuggets (21-16) stop a three-game losing streak just in time to face the Miami Heat at home on Thursday.
