NBA Power Rankings, Week 6: Denver Nuggets Improve Slightly With Seven-Game Win Streak

George Karl could win his 1,000th career game tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats, and the team is now 13-6 with a seven-game win streak. They are in second place in the Northwest division over the 14-8 Oklahoma City Thunder but behind the 16-6 Utah Jazz.

Of course, Nuggets fans must be having a difficult time with the lack of focus the team sometimes exhibits. The Nuggets squandered double digit leads to the Suns and Grizzlies before hanging on to win both games last week.

All the teams ahead of the Nuggets, except for the Thunder, are first or second in their divisions, which is a pretty accurate reflection of where the Nuggets stand. On Christmas Day we'll see the Denver Nuggets and the Oklahoma City Thunder tip off for their first game of the year.
