Nuggets Vs. Raptors: Denver Leads 74-65 On Nuggets Highest Scoring First Half Of Season

After two quarters in Toronto, it appears Denver Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups is out of his slump, as the Nuggets lead the Toronto Raptors 74-65.

Billups isn't the only one on fire in the first half. Al Harrington has scored 19 and Nene has 17 on 7-8 shooting.  For the game Denver is shooting 62.5 percent from the field, 50 percent from three and 94.1 percent from the line.

The Nuggets are playing without Carmelo Anthony who is sitting for the second straight game while nursing a sore knee. Gary Forbes got the start in Melo's place, draining his only shot from the field and going into the locker room with two points.

Former Denver Nuggets Linas Kleiza leads Toronto with 19 points, while Andrea Bargnani and Leandro Barbosa have chipped in 12 and 10 respectively. Not shooting poorly themselves, the Raptors are shooting 52.7 percent from the field.

The 74 points is the most in a half for the Nuggets his season, and was helped on a half ending 15-4 run.

Should Denver hold onto the lead, head coach George Karl will secure his 1000th career win.
