Carmelo Anthony certainly left a lasting impression on the New Jersey Nets with his 28-point, eight-rebound and five-assist night. Nene added 22 points and eight rebounds, making 12-of-13 shots from the line. Ty Lawson and J.R. Smith had strong nights off the bench, scoring 15 points and 11 points, respectively. Melvin Ely played 17 minutes and made six rebounds. As a team, the Nuggets shot 47.5 percent from the field (7-of-13 on three-point shots).
Nets center Brook Lopez led the team with 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. Derrick Favors added 14 points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench.
The Nuggets are 7-6 overall (5-1 at home) and travel to California for a Monday game against the Golden State Warriors.
