Denver Nuggets Forward Al Harrington Hopes To Return For Season Opener Against Utah Jazz

When the Denver Nuggets take the court in the Pepsi Center on Wed., Oct. 27, forward Al Harrington aims to be there with his teammates. After leaving Friday’s exhibition game against the Trail Blazers, it was learned that Harrington suffered a torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

Harrington seems confident that he will recover in two to three weeks and be ready for the start of the season. Via the Denver Post:

“When you have a strain, it’s a nagging thing,” Harrington said Sunday. “But when you tear it, it gives it a chance for the fascia to rebuild, and you should be pain free after that. I’m looking forward to being pain free.”

Nuggets head coach George Karl believes this torn plantar fascia will help prevent it from becoming a chronic problem.
