Hillman, linebacker Steven Johnson, offensive lineman Philip Blake and defensive lineman Malik Jackson are all rookies this year, though Hillman has been thought as a key part of the running game this year. However, a hamstring injury prevented him from playing for much of the preseason.
Chris Kuper was the only Broncos player listed on the injury report leading up to the game and will be out for several more weeks. Sealver Siliga joined the team on Saturday after the team released Caleb Hanie.
Here are the Steelers' inactives:
#Steelers inactives: QB C. Batch, G K. Beachum, S R. Clark, G D. DeCastro, LB J. Harrison, RB R. Mendenhall, NT A. Ta’amu.

Despite Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin's bluster for most of the week, running back Rashard Mendenhall will not play. Mendenhall is recovering from ACL surgery and will likely not play for several more weeks. Linebacker James Harrison practiced on Wednesday, but his knee came him out for the remaining two days of practice.
