Peyton Manning will be playing his first meaningful football game in quite some time when he suits up at quarterback for the Denver Broncos on Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After being sidelined for over a year by neck problems, he will be facing a solid defensive unit in his first game back.
In an interview by Manning on KOA, transcribed by Sports Radio Interviews, he says that though he has played the Steelers four times before in his career, it's hard to compare in a new season:
"That sounds about right. You always know what you’re going to get when you’re playing against these guys. It’s hard to really use comparisons from years past to the times I’ve played them. It’s a new season, certainly I’m playing for a new team and they’re going to provide a new test."
Manning and Denver will kick off against the Steelers as the prime-time showdown on Sunday night.
