Peyton Manning, one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, is returning to the field after missing the entire season last year. While it remains to be seen what he'll do in his first season with the Denver Broncos, Manning is an obvious choice for SB Nation's Preseason Comeback Player of the Year.
The vote wasn't close, as Manning received 92 percent of the SB Nation votes. Only running backs Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles also received votes.
Certainly Manning's health will determine if this pick proves wise, as Manning's on-field credentials have never been questioned. He takes over a playoff team and plays on in one of the weaker division in football, so the stars might be aligned for Manning to have success in his comeback year.
The nation will get to see how Manning adjusts to his new team when the Broncos kick off the regular season Sunday night on national TV against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
