The Denver Broncos are looking for answers Sunday against the Oakland Raiders at home. Slow starts led to incomplete comeback attempts in their last two games – both of which were losses – and after opening the Peyton Manning era with a victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Broncos have struggled with cohesiveness on the offensive side of the ball.
In the two losses to the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans, Denver scored a combined 18 points in the first three quarters of the two games. But toward the end of each, the offense clicked, and Manning's crew put up 28 combined fourth-quarter points before falling short.
They'll be tested against the Raiders (1-2), who are coming off of head coach Dennis Allen's first victory of his career. Oakland defeated the Steelers 34-31 this weekend, surviving 384 passing yards by Ben Roethlisberger.
