Peyton Manning has completed 6 of 10 passes for 75 yards, but the Denver Broncos trail the Houston Texans, 14-5, in the second quarter at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.
The Broncos' defense got off to a good start, as Elvis Dumervil sacked Texans quarterback Matt Schaub for a safety on Houston's first offensive play. On its ensuing offensive possession, Denver drove to the Houston 14-yard line, and Matt Prater kicked a 32-yard field goal to give the Broncos a 5-0 lead.
The Texans bounced back on their next possession. Schaub connected with Andre Johnson for a 60-yard touchdown. The Houston quarterback hooked up with Arian Foster early in the second quarter for a three-yard touchdown and a 14-5 lead. Schaub is 7 of 9 for 125 yards and hasn't thrown an interception.
Willis McGahee leads Denver in rushing with 34 yards on seven carries. Eric Decker has two catches for 40 yards to lead the Broncos receiving corps.
