Fantasy Football, Week 3: Tough Upcoming Fantasy Week For Broncos Players

The Broncos face a tough task in facing the top-ranked Houston Texans defense, so fantasy players could have rough numbers to match.

After facing tough challenges in each of the first two weeks of the season, the schedule doesn't lighten at all in Week 3 for Denver Broncos when they will face the Houston Texans in Denver.

After back-to-back 20-point victories, the Texans enter the game with the NFL's No. 1-ranked defense. However, that still won't dissuade many from starting Peyton Manning.

Per SB Nation's fantasy football quarterback rankings for Week 3, even against a defense as stout as Houston's, Manning is still the No. 9 quarterback, just one spot behind his brother, Eli.

NumberFire isn't so convinced, giving Manning the No. 20 spot in their Week 3 projections.

Receiving even less attention against such a strong defense is running back Willis McGahee. After 22 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons, SB Nation expects the 30-year-old running back to come back down to Earth against the Texans, ranking him as the No. 30 player at his position for Week 3.

While the Broncos will have their hands full trying to beat a team that many consider to be the AFC's finest, the fantasy projections aren't on their side, as Arian Foster ranks as the top running back on NumberFire's projections.

If you have Denver players on your fantasy team, this might be the best week to let them sit on your bench.
