The Denver Broncos' Monday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons isn't just about Peyton Manning's revival, or Matt Ryan giving fans a glimpse of the next quarterback generation. For Denver fans, it's the 21st year in which the Broncos have appeared in a Monday night game.

The last 20 have provided more than a few great memories.

Here's a short-list of those from The Denver Post's Dusty Saunders:

A quarterback shootout at Mile High Stadium between John Elway and Joe Montana (when he was with the Chiefs) ... the blizzard game against the Packers ... the hit heard 'round the world when safety Steve Atwater crushed Chiefs running back Christian Okoye ... and the Halloween night in Indianapolis when Eric Dickerson haunted the Broncos by scoring four touchdowns.

The 21-year streak on Monday Night Football is the longest in the NFL. The first appearance for Denver was in 1973, when Saunders recalls a field goal in the final minute allowed the Broncos to tie the Oakland Raiders.

Along with the game at Atlanta, the Broncos will return to Monday Night Football Oct. 15 against the San Diego Chargers.
