Roddy White Injury: Falcons WR Says He'll Play Monday

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White plans to play in Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos, according to the veteran receiver's Twitter account. White had previously been listed as questionable for Week 2.

White apparently injured his groin sometime in the early or middle portion of the week, but was never really in any danger of missing Monday's game. White caught six passes for 87 yards in the Falcons' 40-24 dismantling of the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. Despite the emergence of Julio Jones, White remains a top target for Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, as Ryan targeted him eight times in the opener.

White is in his eighth NFL season, and has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in each of the past five years. In 2010, White led the league in receptions with 115, while racking up almost 1,389 yards and 10 touchdowns.
