On Monday afternoon, the Denver Broncos announced the signing of free agent LB Keith Brooking:
He joins a Broncos defense that ranked No. 29 in interception rate (1.7 percent) and No. 14 in yards allowed per play (5.4 yards per play), but still managed to finish with an 8-8 record and a playoff appearance.
Brooking, 36, spent the 2011 NFL season on the Dallas Cowboys roster, but started only 3 game in which he played. He currently sports 21.0 career sacks, 13 interceptions and over 1000 tackles -- which are not an official stats. The veteran linebacker spent the first 11 years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons.
