Broncos Signs Free Agent Veteran LB Keith Brooking

The Denver Broncos have added some veteran depth with the signing of LB Keith Brooking.

On Monday afternoon, the Denver Broncos announced the signing of free agent LB Keith Brooking:

He joins a Broncos defense that ranked No. 29 in interception rate (1.7 percent) and No. 14 in yards allowed per play (5.4 yards per play), but still managed to finish with an 8-8 record and a playoff appearance.

Brooking, 36, spent the 2011 NFL season on the Dallas Cowboys roster, but started only 3 game in which he played. He currently sports 21.0 career sacks, 13 interceptions and over 1000 tackles -- which are not an official stats. The veteran linebacker spent the first 11 years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons.
