Peyton Manning, Broncos Ready For Practice At Sports Authority Field On Saturday

The Denver Broncos have been hard at work on the practice field during training camp in Dove Valley, but on Saturday afternoon they take one step closer to live-action NFL football when more than 20,000 fans fill Sports Authority Field at Mile High for a scrimmage featuring Peyton Manning and the revamped Broncos offense. Manning is excited to take the home field in front of fans, and he also appears to be in mid-season form when it comes to glossy quotes pumping up the quality of the fanbase:

"I know the crowd - the 12th man - will be a big part of our season this year," Manning said, "and Saturday will be a good way to start it off. Just from playing here, I can tell the Broncos have passionate fans that love their team, and I'm glad to be on that side now."

"It's a great stadium. I've always thought that, and I've always thought the Broncos have had great fans. It's always been a loud, tough place to play as an opponent."

Many pundits and analysts have been wondering how Manning's passes will look as they soar through the air at Mile High, and this will be the first chance for everyone to watch it all unfold.

The scrimmage is free to the public and starts at 3:50 p.m. MT.
