Derek Wolfe Looking Good In Preseason For Broncos So Far

The top pick for the Denver Broncos in the 2012 NFL Draft, Derek Wolfe, is leading the team in tackles and is tied for the team lead in sacks through two preseason games.

Wolfe, the No. 36 overall selection in the draft, played as a three-down lineman for Denver in their second preseason game against the Seahawks and, according to Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post, will be "one of the most important players" on the defensive front for the Broncos now that Jason Hunter required surgery to repair a torn triceps.

The next pick for the Broncos, Brock Osweiler, has not had as successful a preseason, looking "shaky" against the Seahawks in a 5-of-11 passing performance that netted only 38 yards. Legwold notes that the Broncos could consider adding a veteran quarterback to ensure that Osweiler is given the opportunity to settle in during his rookie season.
