49ers Vs. Broncos: Denver Searches For Rebound After Loss To Seattle

The Denver Broncos offense didn't have much going for it against the Seattle Seahawks. Will they perform better against the San Francisco 49ers?

Presswire

The Denver Broncos play their final home game of the preseason on Sunday when they take on the San Francisco 49ers. Denver is 1-1 so far, defeating the Chicago Bears, 31-3, and losing to the Seattle Seahawks, 30-10. San Francisco won its first game, a home victory over the Minnesota Vikings, 17-6, and then lost a road contest to the Houston Texans, 20-9.

Peyton Manning will once again have all eyes on him. After just playing one series against the Bears, Manning played the entire first half against the Seahawks -- to mixed success. He completed 16-of-23 passes for 177 yards, but he threw no touchdowns and two interceptions. He has yet to throw a touchdown pass and has three total interceptions.

The Broncos backups in the second half of the Seattle game didn't do well, as Brock Osweiler failed to lead the offense to a score and completed just 5-of-11 passes for 28 yards. The defense was shredded by Russell Wilson and the Seahawks' reserves for three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing.

Kickoff: 2:00 p.m. MT, Sunday, Aug. 26
