The Seattle Seahawks lead the Denver Broncos, 16-10, after three quarters of play. Seattle running back Kregg Lumpkin capped a 14-play, 80-yard drive with a 16-yard touchdown run.
Rookie quarterbacks took over their respective team's offense at the start of the second half. Second-round draft choice Brock Osweiler is 2-of-4 for 24 yards for the Broncos. Meanwhile, Seattle's Russell Wilson, a third-round selection, is 4-of-8 for 38 yards. He also has rushed three times for 20 yards.
Wilson, unlike Osweiler, is actually competing for the starting quarterback position. His competition is Matt Flynn and he was hardly outstanding in the game. He was 6-of-13 for 31 yards in the first half. Two performed about evenly in the team's first preseason game and are close to doing it this week -- just with weaker production.
Also note, Wilson had been a Colorado Rockies prospect until last summer, when he decided to return to school and commit to football.
