Seahawks Vs. Broncos: Matt Flynn Will Start In Denver, Give Way To Russell Wilson

The Denver Broncos will, of course, have Peyton Manning under center when they take on the Seattle Seahawks. And, as expected, the Seahawks will start Matt Flynn at quarterback, reports John Boyle of the Everett Herald.

Flynn is locked in a battle with rookie Russell Wilson for the position, and both played strongly in their preseason debuts against the Tennessee Titans. Flynn was 11-of-13 for 71 yards with an interception during the first half of play while Wilson completed 12-of-16 passes for 124 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Wilson will play the second half of the game, but maybe he should catch some of the Colorado Rockies game at Coors Field before he takes the field. Wilson was a 2010 Rockies draftee and gave up football at the end of the 2010 college season. However, Wilson decided to use his remaining year of eligibility and transferred to Wisconsin. He worked his way into being a third-round pick.
