Champ Bailey, Broncos Defense Ready To Learn From Peyton Manning

The Denver Broncos added future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning to the mix during the offseason, and his impact on the practice field in Dove Valley is likely going to be huge. Things are expected to be vastly different than they were during the Tim Tebow era, and the defensive players are particularly excited about being tested early in camp by a supremely accomplished signal caller like Manning.

Veteran cornerback Champ Bailey knows every moment in practice will make the team better, and he isn't shy about saying that Denver has the best QB in the NFL. Here is what Bailey recently told Jeff Legwold of The Denver Post:

"You know with Peyton's preparation, he's going to be ready every single day, every single play. So you have to be ready to. And if you're not, he's going to make you pay for every little mistake. You're not going to make a mistake and he misses it and has to come back to it later if you make it again."

"If you make a mistake, he's going to see it, find it and throw the ball into it. That makes everyone better. And you know the guy you face on Sunday won't be better than the guy you saw every day out here in camp."

Good news and gushing quotes are to be expected at the outset of training camp, but this time the Broncos defenders may be right about the impact Manning will have on the team.
