The Denver Broncos announced Monday that K Matt Prater would remain with the team on a 4-year contract, averaging about about $3 million per year. And despite a career where he has completed of 10 of 13 field goals from beyond 50 yards and sports an overall 78.4 percent field goal completion rate, he still feels a need to show his worth to the Broncos and the league:
Prater: "I'm excited, anxious and ready to prove myself. I'm excited for the challenge and ready to get back to work."

And as for working with the Broncos special teams unit, Prater expressed gratitude for his supporting cast:
Prater on re-joining LS Lonie Paxton and P/H Britton Colquitt: "I'm excited and have all the confidence in the world in those guys."
