The Denver Broncos announced Monday that K Matt Prater would remain with the team on a 4-year contract, averaging about about $3 million per year. And despite a career where he has completed of 10 of 13 field goals from beyond 50 yards and sports an overall 78.4 percent field goal completion rate, he still feels a need to show his worth to the Broncos and the league:
Prater: "I'm excited, anxious and ready to prove myself. I'm excited for the challenge and ready to get back to work."— Denver Broncos (@Denver_Broncos) July 2, 2012
And as for working with the Broncos special teams unit, Prater expressed gratitude for his supporting cast:
Prater on re-joining LS Lonie Paxton and P/H Britton Colquitt: "I'm excited and have all the confidence in the world in those guys."— Denver Broncos (@Denver_Broncos) July 2, 2012
