Elvis Dumervil Update: Denver Broncos Defensive End Didn't Own Gun Or Car In Incident, According To Report

Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil was arrested on Saturday night in Miami following an incident being deemed as "road rage". Dumervil was cruising with a friend when a third car cut them off. After a series of insults, Dumervil and Andy Auguste reportedly approached the driver of the third car by lifting their shirts and each revealing a gun. Police were called and eventually found a gun in the glovebox of Dumervil's Land Rover.

However, the Denver Post is reporting that the gun and the car were not owned by Dumervil.

Two sources close to Dumervil, however, said Monday he was not carrying a gun. The police report states a gun was found in the vehicle Dumervil was driving, but the sources say the vehicle and gun did not belong to Dumvervil.

More details:

According to the report, Dumervil was driving a Land Rover and following a gray Mercedes, which Auguste was riding in as a passenger. When the Impala merged between the Land Rover driven by Dumervil and the Mercedes, an argument ensued. There was horn blowing, verbal threats and name calling.

Dumervil had 9.5 sacks for the Broncos in 2011.
