The Denver Broncos agreed to a restructured contract with defensive tackle Ty Warren on Wednesday afternoon, as the team announced. He spent the entire 2011 season on the injured reserve after sustaining an injury during training camp last year.
Warren, 31, signed with the Broncos before last season, but he partially tore his triceps during training camp and ultimately never appeared in a game. With an eye on finally making his debut in a Denver uniform this year, he's been participating in organized team activities all week.
The Broncos hope that Warren can give the defense some added depth and toughness to the interior of the defensive line that also features Justin Bannan, Derek Wolfe and Kevin Vickerson.
