Recently retired running back LaDainian Tomlinson raised some eyebrows recently when he said he considered playing for the Denver Broncos this season because of the presence of Peyton Manning. Apparently, the feeling wasn't mutual. Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports the Broncos never offered Tomlinson a contract.
BTW: Broncos never made offer to the great LTomlinson. His agent did call. Broncos went young instead drafting RB Ronnie Hilliman in 3rd.

While the pairing of two future Hall of Fame inductees in the Denver backfield would have been a sight to behold, it's hard to fault the Broncos for opting for youth rather than the weary legs of LDT. Tomlinson celebrated his 33rd birthday this weekend and posting only 280 yards and one touchdown last season as a member of the New York Jets.
