The Denver Broncos got solid production from their defense in 2012, but it resulted in the defensive coordinator, Dennis Allen, getting hired away to coach the division rival Oakland Raiders. Now with former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach, Jack Del Rio, running the defense, he is getting his first looks at the personnel, and liking what he sees:

Del Rio on the veterans in the secondary: "We have a good group of veterans that are trying to do their best to share their knowledge."

Del Rio also had high praise for the team's latest addition to the defensive line, rookie DT Derek Wolfe, who let the Big East in tackles for loss and earned the Big East Defensive Player of the Year award in 2011:
Del Rio on Derek Wolfe: "I know he's very eager. He's known for his tenacity & the way he approaches every play. I think you'll see that."
