Broncos OTA's 2012: Willis McGahee Sits Out Wednesday Practices

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee was among the players that did not participate in organized team activities on Wednesday, as Lindsay H. Jones of the Denver Post reports. McGahee is expected to be Denver's top running back once again in 2012, but it's not clear at this point why he wasn't with his teammates.

In his place, the Broncos had Lance Ball taking the reps with the first-team offense. McGahee's primary back-up, former first-round pick Knowshon Moreno, hasn't been cleared for practice yet after having surgery to repair a torn ACL on December 1 of last year.

Other players that were absent on Wednesday include defensive tackle Ty Warren, kicker Matt Prater, right guard Chris Kuper, tight end Julius Thomas and running back Jeremiah Johnson.
