2012 NFL Odds: Broncos and Peyton Manning Up Against 'An Absolutely Brutal Schedule'

The Denver Broncos made one of the biggest splashes in the NFL during the offseason by adding future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and trading away Tim Tebow, but there are still plenty of questions about the moves will all come together in the upcoming season. Cantor Gaming became the first Nevada bookmaker to release NFL season win total odds, and the Broncos are listed as favorites over the Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers in the AFC West.

The line for the Broncos is set at 9.5 wins, and sportsbook director Mike Colbert thinks their tough schedule will hold them back, as he told Covers.com:

"There's [a] team with an absolutely brutal schedule. I don't think Denver will win more than 9, and surely don't think they'll win 11. I really think 9 is better than 9.5, but with a 10 out there [on an offshore betting site] we don't have to go that low."

As for the rest of the AFC West, the Chargers have their line set at 9 wins, the Chiefs are listed at 8 wins and the Raiders are sitting at 7 wins. Here are the odds, via Covers.com:

Denver Broncos
Over 9.5 wins -110
Under 9.5 wins -120

San Diego Chargers
Over 9 wins -130
Under 9 wins Even

Kansas City Chiefs
Over 8 wins -120
Under 8 wins -110

Oakland Raiders
Over 7 wins -110
Under 7 wins -120
