Broncos OTA 2012: Knowshon Moreno Back On Practice Field

Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno had his season cut short by a torn ACL last year. The Georgia product seemed positioned for a big third season, but the knee injury limited him to only 179 yards rushing on 37 attempts.

As Denver begins OTA workouts, Broncos fans will be relieved to know Moreno is back on the football field.

The Broncos actually finished first in rushing yards per game without Moreno last year, averaging over 164 yards per contest on the ground. Some of that was due to the running acumen of departed quarterback Tim Tebow, but Denver's stable of other running backs also upped their game. Willis McGahee, who turns 31 in October, will return in 2012. He led the Broncos with 1,199 rushing last year.
