The Denver Broncos held the first day of OTA workouts for 2012, and though the focus is all on Peyton Manning, several key members of the team were missing in action today. Among the notables were kicker Matt Prater, defensive tackles Ty Warren and Derek Wolfe and linebacker DJ Williams.
According to the Denver Post's Mike Klis, Wolfe, Denver's first pick in the 2012 draft, is back in Ohio waiting to graduate from the University of Cincinnati, but will be with the team once he signs his contract. Williams is currently in court for his lawsuit against the NFL regarding his six-game suspension due to a failed drug test. Warren and Prater meanwhile are still stuck in contract negotiations with the franchise, and both may end up missing this year's OTA altogether.
