Broncos Free Agency 2012: DE William Hayes Sets Up Visits With Rams and Broncos

Free agent defensive end William Hayes has scheduled visits with the St. Louis Rams and Denver Broncos, according to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, but Jeff Fisher and the Rams may have an advantage in the recruiting process. The Tennessee Titans drafted Hayes in the fourth-round (No. 103 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft, and the 26-year old played his best football under Jeff Fisher when he recorded four sacks and 30 tackles as the starting left defensive end in 2009.

On Monday, Broncos general manager Brian Xanders told KKFN-FM 104.3 the team is still fielding calls from free agents inquiring about playing for league-minimum salaries, so perhaps if Hayes wants a new start and a new defensive system he can get that in Denver. However, if he wants to reunite with Jeff Fisher, it seems unlikely that the Broncos would outbid the Rams.
