2012 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos Projected For TE Coby Fleener, DT Josh Chapman In 2nd Round

The Denver Broncos have two second-round picks in the 2012 NFL Draft as a result of making two trades to leave the first round and picking up the No. 36 overall pick from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While this might dismay many Broncos fans, we should hope that John Elway and John Fox know what they are doing in what overall is a mediocre draft year. And mock drafters can now act like they are doing just that!

Ryan Van Bibber's second-round NFL mock draft at SB Nation is out and it addresses a couple of concerns for the Broncos. With pick No. 36, Stanford Cardinal tight end Coby Fleener joins the Broncos and might quickly turn out to be better than Joel Dreessen and Jacob Tamme, both signed this offseason. Peyton Manning certainly won't have a shortage of weapons to throw to this season.

With the 57th overall pick, the Broncos nab Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle Josh Chapman. After much debate of which DT the Broncos should grab in the first round, the team waits all the way until the second round to answer that question. Chapman is a big body and should help clog the line against opposing running backs.
