The Denver Broncos opened the 2012 NFL Draft with the No. 25 overall pick but did not exercise it. Instead, the team traded down twice (with the Patriots and then the Buccaneers), leaving them out of the first round all together. The team received a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick all told in those deals.
The Broncos will hold the No. 36 overall pick on Friday night when the draft commences again. Day 2 of the draft will have Rounds 2 and 3. The Broncos have three picks, but no one should feel confident that the Broncos won't make any trades. Of course, with three fourth-round picks, the Broncos might certainly be able to get another pick on Day 2 somehow.
Here is a complete listing of the Broncos' draft picks over the next two days:
Round | Pick (Overall) | Notes |
2 | 4 (36) | (From Buccaneers) |
2 | 25 (57) | |
3 | 24 (87) | |
