The Denver Broncos won't be drafting in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. After trading out of the No. 25 slot and down to No. 31 with the New England Patriots, the Broncos then flipped No. 31 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the No. 36 overall pick. The teams also swapped fourth-round picks with the Broncos receiving No. 101 for No. 126.
This is not too surprising since John Elway was up front about the team possibly trading out of the first round. The team obviously didn't find any players it wanted to in the first round and is looking to make value picks in the second, third and fourth rounds.
Will this play work out for them when the draft continues on Friday and Saturday?
