NFL Draft 2012: Lamar Miller, Doug Martin Options For Broncos At No. 25

The Denver Broncos last selected a running back in the first round during the 2009 draft, grabbing Knowshon Moreno with the No. 12 overall pick. Moreno has largely been a disappointment in his three season with the team, missing a good portion of the 2011 season due to a knee injury. Luckily, the Broncos brought in Willis McGahee last season. But it might be time for the Broncos to look at another running back in the first-round.

The Broncos could look at Boise St. Broncos running back Doug Martin, as ESPN Todd McShay has mocked, or Miami Hurricanes running back Lamar Miller might be an option. Both players are expected to be available toward the end of the first round. Only Alabama's Trent Richardson is expected to be a highly-drafted running back.

The Broncos do understand the type of talent that does come out of Miami with Willis McGahee coming from there and former player Clinton Portis having success in Denver in the early part of the previous decade.
