Brian Dawkins Retirement: Eagles Announce Press Conference For Dawkins Retirement

According to Lindsay Jones of The Denver Post, the Philadelphia Eagles will hold a press conference on Saturday to make the retirement of S Brian Dawkins:

Dawkins played for the Denver Broncos from 2009 through 2011, but had spent the previous 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles. With 221 games and 37 interceptions on his career, the eight-time Pro Bowler appears to be a likely candidate for the NFL Hall of Fame.

Injuries marred the final two seasons of Dawkins's career as he missed five games in 2010 and then two more games in 2011. He announced his retirement on Monday morning, publicly announcing his decision via Twitter.
