Brian Dawkins Retirement: Philadelphia Offers To Have Dawkins Retire As Eagle

Brian Dawkins spent the last three season with the Denver Broncos, but for the 13 years of his career prior to those, he was a standout member of the Philadelphia Eagles. With Dawkins announcing his retirement today, the Eagles have made it be known that Dawkins has an "open invitation" to come back to Philadelphia and retire as an Eagle.

Dawkins was drafted in the second round (61st overall) of the 1996 NFL Draft, and in his 13 seasons with Philadelphia he would start 183 games and make 723 tackles while also totaling 21 sacks and 34 interceptions. Dawkins was selected to the Pro Bowl eight times, with the last being in 2009.
