2012 NFL Mock Draft: Drafttek.com Projects Broncos To Take DT Michael Brockers

Like many mock drafts before them, Drafttek.com projects the Denver Broncos to select LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers with the No. 25 overall pick in their latest mock draft. The site uses a series of pre-designated team needs and a "Big Board" that ranks prospects by value to create a series of computer-generated mock drafts in the days before the draft.

After focusing a bit on scheme-fit here, we're back to thinking any DT (with appropriate value) would be worth taking at #25. The current roster feels tilted a bit toward run-stuffers, but there is such a lack of young talent on the D-Line any DT somatype would be welcome. Brockers may be a bit raw, but he has outstanding upside, natural ability, and he stands a good chance of contributing right away at a position of massive need. This is an easy pick.

As they note, Brockers appears to be a very strong fit for the Broncos. This isn't the first mock that's tied Brockers to Denver, so clearly there's more behind this than the simple fact that the Broncos could use some help on the defensive line.
