The Denver Broncos are less than one week away from exercising the 25th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, but there is still no consensus on the direction the team will go with the choice. Offense, defense -- no one really knows. In the Sporting News' correspondents' mock draft, Andrew Mason of Max Denver has selected Michigan St. Spartans defensive tackle Jerel Worthy for the Broncos:
Defensive tackle has long been a weakness, and new coordinator Jack Del Rio needs improvement inside to make his defense work. Jerel Worthy’s pass-rushing ability makes him the best fit.
There are a number of defensive tackles that could fall to the Broncos at No. 25. LSU's Michael Brockers is a candidate to drop to this spot, or Penn State's Devon Still could also be had here. Or maybe the Broncos want an offensive weapon for Peyton Manning. The possibilities are numerous.
