Broncos Free Agency 2012: WR Brandon Stokley Signs 1-Year Deal With Denver

It's reunion time in the Mile High City with the Denver Broncos bringing back wide receiver Brandon Stokley on a one-year deal, according to the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.

This move has been anticipated ever since the Broncos signed quarterback Peyton Manning. Stokley was a teammate of Manning's from 2003-2006 with the Indianapolis Colts, posting a career-best 68 catches for 1,077 yards and 10 touchdown passes on 2004.

Stokley moved on to the Broncos for the 207-2009 seasons before playing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010 and for the New York Giants in 2011 (just one game). Stokley, who turns 36 in late June, lives in Denver and worked out with Peyton Manning back in March at a local park.

The corresponding roster move for signing Stokley came earlier on Monday when the team rescinded its restricted free agent tender on Ryan McBean, who has been suspended by the league for a failed drug test.
